About the Event
The Agentic Hack 2026 was a one-day event organized by the Agentic Systems Lab in Zurich focused on building and experimenting with agentic AI systems. The event was co-hosted by Google DeepMind, Vercel (v0), Founderful and Mixedbread.
Participants worked in teams to prototype new applications using recent AI models and developer tools, including Google Gemini models, Mixedbread and Vercel's v0. The goal of the hackathon was to explore new technical approaches to building software agents and to test ideas with potential research or real-world applications.
A component of the event focused on embodied AI. In collaboration with the ZHAW Center for Artificial Intelligence (CAI), participants had access to several robotic platforms, such as robot dogs and robotic arms, along with custom interfaces that allowed teams to connect AI agents to physical systems.
Projects ranged from experimental research ideas to early-stage prototypes. Teams were encouraged to focus on technically interesting implementations or concepts with clear application potential.
The event also included participation from Studyflash, who donated CHF 1,000 in prizes. In addition to prizes awarded by the judges, participants had the opportunity to be considered for internship opportunities.
The hackathon brought together students, researchers, engineers, and founders from the Zurich AI ecosystem to experiment with agentic and embodied AI systems in a collaborative environment.
